The First Cycle in Informatics Engineering is a three years degree with 180 ECTS. Each academic year requires a learning effort equivalent to 60 ECTS. The 180 ECTS are distributed by three main scientific areas: Mathematics (40), Physics (10), and Informatics (120). In the first year the weight of Informatics is about 30% while in the third year is more than 90%.

The Bachelor offers a background which is comparable, in terms of learning outcomes, to the formative offer provided by national and European reference universities, as well as north-american universities. Furthermore, the Bachelor is designed to promote academic mobility, namely within the European Union.
